Assigning gender roles isn’t encouraging married woman and young ladies in today’s society.

Cultural traditions has affected relationship between men and women. However, majority scholars agree that women are not obligated to serve their husbands, do house chores or any kind of work at home. Whoever said that the way to a man’s heart is this stomach also forgot to add that it is not the job of a woman to cook. We believe that a real woman has to be a good chef, although it isn’t completely wrong but today, there’s a deviation from those previous beliefs. Women now embrace their own independence and are choosing to support themselves. What women dislike is the sense of entitlement, entrusted to them, that it is the right to do so. Yes, women should be handy in the kitchen, not because they are women and not because she has an obligation to feed her husband but because she has to take care of herself and be a good role model to her kids.

Cooking is one of the so-called pre-dominant feminine qualities

Cooking is an art and it’s not un- masculine. Give your wife the morale to do better other than cooking and cleaning the house. Irrespective of your gender, if you are reading this, you surely would know one working woman who cooks for her family, you would know one housewife who is criticised for not being “up to the mark” or one newly married bride whose husband fights with her everyday because she cannot cook. Hiring a maid to do the chores is really not a bad idea, but people have different ideology towards this maid or house-help thing.
Where did the phrase, women belong to the kitchen came from. It’s origin is thought to be the Greek playwright Aeschylus, who decreed back in 467 B.C, ” LET WOMEN STAY AT HOME AND HOLD THEIR PEACE” since then the phrase as been twerked by many feminist. Women also derive happiness– watching the man of their life, cooking for them, and a guy who knows how to cook is really handsome. A man who cooks is attractive and a man who does the dishes is irresistible. Men are actually the best cook, because a man fills a woman’s tummy for 9 months with 2 eggs, 1 sausage and a little bit of milk.

Men should always have in mind that , your wife is not your maid she’s your partner and partners work hand-in-hand. Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) used to cook, clean and take trash out of the house, so who are you to take your wife as a maid. Women really tends to be more intelligent than men, women actually successful multi-task, in the sense that she is successful and still builds a good home because a good home is said to be built by the wife.

If a woman can be this successful, men should also encourage their wives by involving their wives in social outings and team meetings, after the meeting, engage them, ask them questions, know her capabilities, stop letting women feel inferior in this society, women also look beautiful when they succeed.

Moreover, this role assignment has led to the belief that women are better mothers than men are fathers ,no doubts; men are expected to be the provider of family, while the mothers are expected to be more of caretakers of home and family, and It is the actually the pride of a man, if he sees his woman doing great things in the society, so why not encouraging our women in becoming reputable people in life.
